Q1: ラベンダーハグってどんな性格の女の子？
A 1: ラベンダーハグはとにかく遊び好きで、

想像力がいっぱいの女の子。ロシアのアニメー
ション映画「The Mitten」にでてくる女の子のことを、私に思い出させてくれますね。
ラベンダーハグは自分の温かいイヤーマフが小さなかわいい白い赤ちゃんグマのふわ
ふわの耳になるのを想像して遊んでいると思うの。だって、そうしたら小さな白クマ
の赤ちゃんを抱っこできるでしょう！

Q1: Can you describe Lavender Hug's personality?
A1: Lavender Hug is essentially a playful and imaginative little girl. She
reminds me a bit of the little girl in the Russian animation The Mitten.
Let's let Lavender imagine her earmuffs turning into a cute little white
baby bear with fluffy white ears. Why? So she can hug it!


Q2:ラベンダーハグを作ろうと思ったきっかけは何？
A1: ラベンダーハグは２０１２年と２０１３年の冬のための女の子です。雪が降る冬の季節に一緒に遊べる女の子は必ず必要ですし、一緒にクリスマスを過ごすのにも最適です。

Q2: Why did you decide to make Lavender Hug?
A2: She is the little girl for winter 2012-2013. We always need a girl to
　take out into the winter snow and one to spend Christmas with.

Q3: デフォルトのラベンダーハグの写真を撮るとしたら、どんな場所がシーンや場所
がおすすめですか？
A3: もしできたら、雪のなかで写真を撮ってみるのをおすすめします。あとは私の写真の
ように、クリスマスツリーの前とかね。

Q3: Where do you suggest taking photos of Lavender Hug?
A3: If the timing is right, it would be great to shoot her in the snow.
      Or Like I did in front of my Christmas tree.


Q4: ラベンダーハグは、他にどんなファッションが似合うと思いますか？
A4: ６０年代のゴーゴールックのとかがすごく彼女に合うと思ってます。また、伝統的なス
イス・アルプスのお洋服なども似合うと思います。そのときは帽子、ペットのヤギも
一緒にね。

Q4:  What other outfits would you suggest for Lavender?

A4: I would think a 60's go-go girl look would fit her nicely.
Or she would look great in a traditional Swiss alps outfit with a hat and a
pet goat!

Valentine's Day at Salon de Junie Moon

Salon de Junie Moon is ready for tomorrow's big holiday! What will you get your sweetheart for Valentine's day? In Japan, girls make chocolates and sweets for their sweethearts. Later, the boys reciprocate and give the girls presents on White Day!

A visit from Momolita and Moledolls

Carmen from Moledolls came to visit Junie Moon today. Momolita came by too so we had a chance to take a group photo of ourselves and our girls.  I love these visits! We just hung out and talked for a couple of hours. It was fun and I hope to see Carmen again. She is really cute and sweet. And her boyfriend was super nice. Both very talented and smart Blythe fans!

Bundling up with Lavender Hug

2013 is finally here! To usher in the New Year we have our very first Neo Blythe  of 2013, Lavender Hug! 

Each year we think about who will be the girl to symbolize the start of the new seasons. When we designed Lavender Hug, I just knew she was the perfect one to warm people's hearts in the cold winter months.

I just call her Lavender. I took her with me for our Christmas Holidays in 2012, out of her box carefully wrapped in a scarf but when I opened the suitcase she was a mess! I combed her hair and slowly revived her back to her original self. Short hair is always difficult to make. If the hair is all one length and cut  straight across, we have to start with a longer length and cut off the excess. For shaggy styles the hair fiber has to be cut to length first and then woven in. There's no cutting after. So it is always a challenge to do short hair. I love my Lavender.

Her sweet fantasy colored hair is complimented by the soft, baby pink one piece and fluffy earmuffs.

Also, a fun new design touch, she has a new style of boots. Who doesn't love new winter shoes?
