I took them on a stroll and had a great time taking their
photos. These are special places in my home town that made wonderful
backgrounds that reflect their regal personalities. One of the places I
used as location was the high school I graduated from! And another
location was the royal palace of the Hawaiian King and Queen.
It was a good day! We can't wait to share these lovely girls with the world.
Q1: What kind of girl is Nellie Nibbles? ねりーにぶるすは どんなせいかくのこですか？
A1: Nellie Nibbles loves to eat! She is always nibbling on something, pretty much all day long. But because she is a vegetarian, she never gains weight. She eats smart, mostly carrots but she also loves broccoli. ネリーニブルスは食べることが大好きで、ほとんど一日中、ちょこちょこ何かを食べてるの。 その理由は、彼女がベジタリアンだからで、体重が増えたりすることはないわね。 彼女の食べ方はとても賢いわ。ニンジンをたくさん食べて、あとはブロッコリーも好き。
Q2: What is the meaning behind her name? ねりーにぶるすの なまえの ゆらい（なまえのいみ）をおしえてください。
A2: Nellie is a cute name for cute girls! A bit English I think. Like the other very famous bunny we all love, Nellie is also English! Nibbles means to munch on things a little at a time. She is a dainty eater. 「ネリー」はとても可愛らしい女の子の名前、イギリス系かしら。 私たちが大好きな、あの有名なうさぎちゃんのネリーみたいにね。 ニブルスはちょこちょこと少しずつ食べること、とても繊細な食べ方ね。
Q3: Is Nellie Nibbles friends with Melomelomew and Meowsy Wowsy? ねりーにぶるすは、めろめろみゅ～や、みゃうじーわうじーと おともだちですか？
A3: Yes, of course they are friends! But they don't really live in the same neighborhood. It's Nellie that comes to visit them from time to time. Usually in the spring, with a basket full of spring veggies and colored chocolate eggs. もちろん、彼らはお友達です！ 残念ながら、近くには住んでいないけれどね。 でも、ネリーは彼らのところに時間をみつけては遊びに行っているはずですよ。 大概は春だと思いますよ。春の採れたての野菜とカラフルな色紙に包まれたチョコレートの卵を バスケットにたくさんつめて、遊びに出かけるのをよく見かけます。
Q4: How do you play with Blythe dressed as animals? きぐるみのこたちの あそびかたを おしえてください。
A4: It's adorable to play with Blythe as a bunny or a kitty. They are soft all over and very hug-able. Spring is the perfect time to take them out to the flower fields for a walk or a cup of tea at an outdoor cafe. ブライスにうさぎちゃんやこねこちゃんの着ぐるみを着せると、もうたまらなく可愛らしいでしょう。全部がふわふわで、一度抱きしめたら離れられないくらい。春はそんな彼らを外に連れ出して、お花畑をお散歩させたり、アウトドアな雰囲気の素敵なカフェでお茶を飲んだりするには最適の季節だと思いますよ。
Q5: If you were to make another outfit for Nellie what would it be? もうひとつ、じゅんこさんだったら、ねりーにぶるすに、どんなファッションをさせたいですか？
A5: I would make something for her to wear over her furry body. Since it's spring, an apron and a bonnet, or an overall and a straw hat with flowers everywhere. In the winter I would knit her a sweater. 彼女のファーのある体の上に着られる何かを考えますね。春らしく、エプロンやボネット、オーバーオール、お花をいっぱい飾った麦わら帽子にもいいですね。 冬だったら、ニットで編んだセーターとかね！
While planning for the 2010 Blythe Anniversary event, Manga Girls Inspiration, we approached a variety of Japanese designers and manga artists to create one of a kind Blythe dolls for charity. One of our collaborators was Japanese fashion brand Hysteric Mini! The Mini brand is an off shoot of the very famous Hysteric Glamour brand.
Their entry to the exhibition was the sweet and stylish Suzi Hysteric! This doll traveled along with the exhibition to venues all over Japan and Asia.
Customize Hysteric Mini Collaboration for Manga Girls Inspiration Exhibition
The original Suzy Hysteric was a customized Neo Blythe. While we were planning the doll line up for 2011, we asked Hysteric Mini to collaborate again, but this time on Middie Blythe!
Middie Blythe was the prefect platform to express the children's brand. Her sweet expression echoed the brand image of a fashionable and chic child. You may notice that Middie Blythe Suzi Hysteric has long straight hair. The factory was not able to mimic the complex original twisty hair style, but if you would like to style your Suzy Hysteric with the cute twisty buns you're in luck!
